I don't understand why you don't accept tips or sell these images?!?

When you allowed the download for free, I thought that meant your image was okay to use, but then today, I'm no longer sure.

I wrote an ambient style song a few months ago, and wanted to make a video to go along with it.  I tried to buy a few photos, but today PayPal sent the money back to me because one of the images wasn't right in some way quality wise.

But now I realize that even buying/tipping for the image doesn't give me a right to use the photos.

Is it possible to get the right to use your image?  I already made the video and added links to the artists pages here on deviantart.com, but now realize that I can't actually do that, so I've made the video unlisted until I find out if I can do this.

Is there any way to get the right from you to use the image?

Here is the link to the video, it doesn't show up on my channel unless you have this unlisted link:

youtu.be/sS2dCMEIab4

Please let me know if it is okay to use it. If not, I will take it out and start over with the video.

THank you for your time, and please believe I didn't realize this wasn't the way to do it.

Sincerely,
Rick
I actually have sold fractal images for a long time on festivals and in connection with exhibitions, most on libraries. But not on dA yet ;)

That's an awesome video :) It's OK to use my stuff as long as you link back to the original, note me, and don't earn a lot of money on them. In fact I would be very honored :D
Thank you!  I will make the video "public" rather than "unlisted" when I get permission from the last two artists. I have four of six so far.

I started writing songs just recently after relearning to play guitar in 2011 following a couple of strokes that made playing impossible....and so far, they don't really sell.  But that was never the point of doing it although it would be fun.

The main point was to finally express the music I'd always wanted to play, but had allowed "life" to get in the way.

Again, thank you. And if you have a Paypal donation link, or make this art available for purchase, let me know.  I want to support the artists who do this lovely work.

Best,
Rick
